Lego time

Today was Ellie's first time playing with Legos...her older friends were making Lego buildings and I thought that Ellie might enjoy some Lego time as well. She had fun licking and mouthing the blocks; when she threw them overboard she looked to see where they went. Object permanence, here we come.

On a different note, isn't this the cutest bib ever? Grammy and Grandpa got it for Ellie on her first trip to Maine. Thanks, Mom and Dad--she wears it all the time!

Our Lego tower acually touched the ceiling!

On Sunday I had my child care kids over for the morning as a holiday gift to their parents. We had a great breakfast (green and red waffles, courtesy of Annette!), made construction paper snowmen, played outside, and constructed this enormous Lego tower. It was a fun morning!

Today Ellie learned how to put Legos together. She already knew how to take them apart, so now she's officially a Lego SuperGenius. Like uncle, like niece!
