Children's Museum, part 2

Ellie checks out the view from a top floor.

Then she explores the vehicles table.

Ellie = Bobcat driver extraordinaire!

She's pretty handy with a level, too.

Ellie checks out the museum's rooftop garden.

She gets busy splashing at a water table.

She likes playing trains, at the museum and at home.

This puzzle caught her eye.

Ellie spent a while rolling around in this soft play area. "Swim swim!" she said happily.

She liked these blocks and the light table.

Toddler power makes the world go 'round!

Ellie gets in touch with her inner disco diva.

She examines a terrapin's tummy.

Waiting (somewhat) patiently for the start of her very first play: The Three Little Pigs! She liked it a lot.

Children's Museum, part 1

We dropped off Mumzy, then we headed to the museum. Unfortunately, we were an hour early! To pass the time, we relaxed in the adjacent cafe and had scones and milk. Clearly, Ellie could have used a cup of coffee as well!

We were one of the first families into the museum, which meant we had an elevator to ourselves. Ellie liked looking out on the harbor from the elevator.

She also liked perusing Chinese magazine titles.

Ellie tried her hand at this Chinese harp as well.

She really liked standing on the scale, "like at Dr. 'kani!"

Ellie planted a big kiss on this water buffalo's lips.

She got busy choosing onions at the corner bodega...

before heading over to pick up a can of black beans.

The store was self-serve, which suited Ellie just fine!

The cutest fuss-face ever!

Happy Thanksgiving!

She picked out her own clothes.

Our stinky visitor!

Yesterday we were heading back downstairs after naptime when Clara went nuts with barking and snarling at the window. For a moment I thought someone was in our yard, but then I saw this huge skunk! Ellie liked it a lot. She keeps talking about "skunk" and "yard" and "window."
