Ellie sees our Christmas tree for the first time this year

"No, no doggie! It bite us!"

Grammy, Grandpa, and Great Grammy sent Ellie a few early Christmas presents yesterday! She was very taken with the books and paintbrushes, but she was pretty nervous about the singing animatronic dog. She liked it fine until it started moving its ears, but once that happened Ellie was not pleased. "No, no doggie!" she yelled, "It bite us!"

Fortunately, Clara distracted Ellie from her meterological complaints.

Ellie LOVES getting mail! She really likes the mail truck and the mailman, and one of her favorite things is getting out her cards to read again and again.

How sweet is that? Of course, she also wanted to Lennie him half to death, but she settled for one kiss and one squeeze.

One of Ellie's favorite new things is getting licks from Clara. Ellie hugs and pets Clara, then yells, "Lick!" when Clara gives her a kiss.
