Ellie was so excited when the wolves howled.

Ellie had been talking about emus for a few days, which prompted me to take her to the zoo. Here she is with the emus. They loved her.

On the shores of Lake Ontario

We spent last weekend up in northern NY visiting family. This was our first visit to my cousins' cottage, a lovely place right on the lake. Ellie had a great time swimming, playing in the sand, petting her first frog (thanks, Dan!), and visiting with her family.

This is why I read travel books.

On Friday night we finished up our vacation at the Chatham Band Concert. (Yes, I totally read about it in travelogues and wanted to go!) We went over to Chatham around 10:30am to set out our blanket, then came back around 7:30pm to enjoy the show. There was waltzing, singing, marching, and bunny hopping...it was a wonderful night!
